Chess Tactics - Shortcuts to Chess Victories 

The quickest way to improve your chess results is to become an expert in chess tactics.
Yes, other aspects of the game are important, and to become a Master chess player you'll have to be strong in all of them, but the most rapid gains in your results will come from mastering chess tactics and training yourself to always spot the opportunities to use them in your games...and avoiding leaving yourself open to their being used against you! 

There's a huge amount of material available on this part of the game (online and offline) but it tends to fall into one or more of these groups: -

• basic concepts aimed at beginners only; 
• nothing but pages of puzzles;
• conventional books in which variations are difficult to follow
• expensive software or...
• it's been written by someone with English as their fourth language!
